- CHIA LOONG THYE, 50, is a professional lawyer of 22 years standing, and a community and legal aid volunteer since 1991. He was the election agent for Tan Sri Koh Tsu Koon, in 1995, 1999 & 2004. He is actively involved in community bonding and welfare and promoting social, political and civic awareness through the “Penang Teh Tarik Forum”. He graduated from University of Warwick, England (1982) with LLB and was admitted to the Malaysian Bar in 1985. He started his legal practice in 1985 and moved his practice to Penang in 1992. He is married with 3 children.
